Antes de abordar el rol protagonista que los personajes y las historietas de Marvel Comics<\/a><\/strong> tuvieron en la \u00e9poca dorada del comics, hay que determinar por qu\u00e9 el periodo que inici\u00f3 en el a\u00f1o 1938 y se extendi\u00f3 por toda la d\u00e9cada de los a\u00f1os 40 fue denominado como la primera gran \u00e9poca de la industria editorial y de los superh\u00e9roes.<\/p>\n

Todo lo que ocurre en el mundo y en la sociedad tiene una explicaci\u00f3n, incluso el por qu\u00e9 los superh\u00e9roes tuvieron un auge y luego el inter\u00e9s baj\u00f3. Nuestra intenci\u00f3n no es realizar un estudio sociol\u00f3gico de las masas ni somos especialistas en determinar la creaci\u00f3n de los gustos de la sociedad. No obstante, queremos develar y dar luces a todos los lectores c\u00f3mo fue evolucionando la industria editorial, las historias de superh\u00e9roes y el por qu\u00e9 sub\u00eda o bajaba el inter\u00e9s en torno a estos temas.<\/p>\n

En este sentido, lo primero que debemos revisar son los antecedentes y el contexto social que se estaba viviendo, y como la industria del entretenimiento fue creando, tomando decisiones y actuando en consecuencia.<\/p>\n

Lo primero que hay que decir, es que La Edad Dorada de los C\u00f3mics es ese primer per\u00edodo de publicaci\u00f3n masiva, en que el formato se vuelve uno de los m\u00e1s populares, sobre todo en los Estados Unidos. Abarcando desde finales de la d\u00e9cada de 1930 hasta mediados de la d\u00e9cada de los 50, esta fue una etapa primitiva para Marvel, mucho antes de convertirse en el gigante que conocemos hoy en d\u00eda.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

En ese tiempo, Marvel se llamaba Timely Comics, r\u00e1pidamente se convertir\u00eda en una de las principales editoriales de c\u00f3mics, con un particular dominio sobre las historias de misterios y suspenso, y por supuesto de los superh\u00e9roes.<\/p>\n

La edad de oro de los comics o historietas. \u00bfQu\u00e9 fue y qu\u00e9 a\u00f1os comprende?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

La Edad de Oro de los c\u00f3mics, en ingl\u00e9s denominada como Golden Age of Comic Books, fue un per\u00edodo en la historia de los c\u00f3mics estadounidenses, desde 1938 y la d\u00e9cada de los a\u00f1os 40. Esta \u00e9poca dorada se mantuvo hasta el a\u00f1o de 1956.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Durante esta \u00e9poca, se publicaron por primera vez los comic books modernos y ganaron r\u00e1pidamente una enorme popularidad. Tambi\u00e9n se cre\u00f3 el arquetipo del superh\u00e9roe, y se crearon muchos personajes famosos, empezando con uno de los primeros superh\u00e9roes en la historia, Superman, cuyo \u00e9xito provoc\u00f3 que se crearan m\u00e1s superh\u00e9roes, como es el caso de: el Capit\u00e1n Marvel, Batman y Robin, Plastic Man, el Capit\u00e1n Am\u00e9rica, Namor, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, el Hombre Halc\u00f3n, Dr. Fate, Flecha Verde o las primeras adaptaciones de superh\u00e9roes popularizados o reeditados en la Edad de Plata de los comic-books, como Flash, \u00c1tomo, Linterna Verde, el \u00c1ngel, la Antorcha Humana o el Daredevil de Lev Gleason Publications.<\/p>\n

La publicaci\u00f3n de historietas pas\u00f3 a ser una gran industria. Durante este per\u00edodo tambi\u00e9n se vio la aparici\u00f3n de los c\u00f3mics cl\u00e1sicos como una forma de arte convencional y la definici\u00f3n de un vocabulario art\u00edstico del medio y convenios creativos para su primera generaci\u00f3n de escritores, artistas y editores.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
